Brian Wadsworth

Chemistry (PhD), School of Molecular Sciences, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Brian Wadsworth, a doctoral student in chemistry, wants to integrate light capture technologies with molecular catalysts for energy storage. “Combining engineered biological parts with new materials can create bio-artificial photosynthetic devices,” he says.

His goals are to develop an alternative energy source that can supplement fossil fuels, as well as provide a cost-effective source of energy and electricity for developing countries.

He discovered ASU is the best place to research solar energy. His long-term career plans include continuing his research in a national lab or serving as an advisor for an alternative fuel company.
